SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - 15 September 2017: Demolition work on the site of the old Menzies Hotel and Thakral House buildings has revealed a well-preserved colourful advertising sign for the "Peapes Menswear" store adjacent to the Wynyard construction site. This large painted advertisement, popularly referred to as a 'ghost sign', was revealed on the side of Beneficial House, formerly occupied by Peapes Menswear from 1923 to 1970. Once construction is completed, the Peapes sign will again be covered and expected not to see daylight again for at least another fifty years.
BROOKLYN, NSW, AUSTRALIA - 4 December 2018: Jack Taylor is an avid motorcycle enthusiast. Owner of eleven classic motorcycles, “old Jack", as he likes to call himself, rides "pretty much every day”. Today, during celebrations of his 93rd birthday, Jack and wife June take the passenger seats for a ride in a 1957 Chevrolet Belair with friend, Lee Platt. Jack started riding in 1947 after paying twenty five pounds for his first bike, a 1925 Harley Davidson.
